The presence of giant pandas in U.S. zoos has been significantly impacted with the recent return of three pandas to their homeland from Washington, D.C. This relocation leaves just four giant pandas remaining in the United States, all of which reside at Zoo Atlanta. These pandas include the adult pair, Lun Lun and Yang Yang, as well as their offspring, Ya Lun and Xi Lun. However, it’s worth noting that the younger cubs at Zoo Atlanta are scheduled to travel to China in 2024, as announced by the zoo on August 25, 2023.
